"None of the others of us go strictly by a curriculum, and I don't recall ever initialing such a thing."
A novel that drives readers with lessons and interest in Spanish that circulates in drama fiction. Native language has always been comforting language people use as their solace zone and with confidence to express themselves openly, radically, opinionatedly, and respectfully. It may not be the universal language but a communication that has been there since their existence. The author of this novel highlighted multicultural interactions with her characters for example the interaction of Mr. Ordonez and Dorie West and the learning of Spanish children with the language of English. Drawn from a set of daily lives of the Spanish people to cultural diversity. Finally, a brief but vibrant and informative history of Latin America.
Dela Cuesta has conveyed social issues, especially politics and education. The book itself represented a gripping story full of intrigue and authenticity. Mr. Ordonez is a unique and skillful character who greatly balances the story alongside the character of Dorie. The Spanish Teacher years for an informative perspective on cultural communities, the desire for power, and creative concepts. Overall, this book can be highly recommended to travelers in Latin America and enjoy during their leisure time and vacation.
